| | The English Arts Chorale was established in 1980 by Leslie Olive, our Artistic Director. We are amateur singers with busy lives and come from all walks of life. But we all share a great love of the great choral works.
We rehearse and perform to the highest possible standard and one of our hallmarks is that whenever possible we like to perform entire choral works from memory. Works that we have performed in this way include the Mozart's Requiem and Mass in C Minor, Verdi's Requiem, Haydn's Nelson Mass, and Fauré's Requiem. We have performed with top orchestras and soloists on the South Bank and in cathedrals around the United Kingdom, but we also enjoy putting together a full programme each year for music lovers in the Surrey/Sussex area. We have made a CD and radio recordings. Recent repertoire works include, Bach's Mass in B Minor, Handel's Messiah, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, Poulenc's Gloria, Vivaldi's Gloria and various Palestrina masses.
We're a friendly bunch who rehearse in Reigate on Monday evenings. We always welcome new singers and if you are interested in finding out more, just come along to a rehearsal at 7.45 on a Monday and we will be happy to tell you more about ourselves. You can be sure of a warm welcome
