David Keelan is an accomplised actor on stage and screen from Ireland. Born David O' Brien, in Cork Ireland, he had to change his name to David Keelan to comply with British and American Equity regulations.
A versatile performer, he has performed in Theatre, Film and Radio. In Theatre he has appeared in productions ranging from Shakespearean Drama to Musical Theatre. Notable theatre Credits include, First Voice in "UnderMilkWood", Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet", Padre in "Man of LaMancha",Tenor in "Singin'in the Rain", Michael in "I DO I DO", Octavius in "Julius Caeser", Baron Zeta in "The Merry Widow", Will Parker in "Oklahoma", Marston in Agatha Christies "And then there were none". To name but a few. On film he can be seen starring alongside Richard Chamberlain and Michael Madsen in Strength and Honor, directed by Mark Mahon
An accomplised Concert performer, he has a beautiful tenor voice. Concert appearnces include Lead vocalist in An Evening with Lloyd Webber, The Magic of the Musicals, The Mack and Mable Tribute Concert, Some Enchanted Evening, the songs of Richard Rodgers. He can be heard frequently on RTE Radio Ireland.
