| | The 'Seventh Chapter of Fine Brass' has established itself as one of Australia's finest young ensembles through its innovative repertoire and acclaimed performances. The group juxtaposes classical, contemporary, jazz, rock and ethnic music to create dynamic performances with proven multi-generational appeal. Described as playing "intricate, exuberant music, artfully designed to connect with audiences of their generation" by David Bentley (The Courier Mail, 1999), the group boasts a virtuosic repertoire drawn from artists such as Frank Zappa, David Sanford and Don Van Vliet.
The 'Seventh Chapter of Fine Brass' has also 'premiered' to Australian audiences the music of David Sanford, Daniel Grabois and New York trumpeter, Jon Nelson, a former member of the highly successful, 'Meridian Arts Ensemble'.
The 'Seventh Chapter of Fine Brass' has performed extensively throughout Brisbane in various festivals such as the Southern Cross International Music Festival, the Energex Festival and the Bluewater Festival. They have also played for Arts Council functions at the Treasury Casino, 'NumB' new music concerts, school and university concerts as well as playing to audiences at the Zoo Nightclub, Ric's Cafe and the Hub Internet Cafe.
