Philip Tebb originally comes from Taunton, Somerset. He started singing at a very early age and by nine was a Chapel Chorister at Bramdean School, Exeter. In 1992 Philip was awarded a Music Scholarship at Queens College, Taunton.

In 1996 Philip went to Durham University to read for a BA Hons degree in music. Whilst at Durham he was a Choral Scholar at the Cathedral, singing for two live broadcasts of Evensong on BBC Radio 3 and three recordings, as well as touring Norway with them. Outside the Cathedral he sang with Durham University Consort of Voices and Palatinate Voices, as well as making several solo performances and appearing in two operas; as Figaro in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro and as Death in Holst's chamber opera Savitri.

Philip graduated from Durham in 1999 and moved to London to take up the post of Gentleman of HM Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace. Having left Hampton Court in August 2000 and sung briefly with the choir of St John's Wood Church, Philip is now a member of the choir of St Bride's Church, Fleet Street, with whom he has already appeared in several concerts and a live broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

As well as his choral singing work, which encompasses deputising at Westminster Abbey and Southwark Cathedral and singing with professional choirs such as Cappella Nova and The Geoffrey Mitchell Choir, Philip is also in demand as an oratorio soloist. Details of past performances and future engagements can be found on his website.
