The Neue Zürcher Zeitung described the Dutch-born pianist, See Siang Wong, as a “subtle painter of sound”. He has been awarded numerous prizes and has quickly advanced to become an internationally sought soloist, chamber musician and accompanist. See Siang Wong studied with Marjès Benoist in Holland and with Homero Francesch and Bruno Canino in Switzerland. He pursued further studies in accompaniment with Irwin Gage, Hans Adolfsen and Daniel Fueter and also studied Contemporary music with the composer Felix Baumann. He makes his home in Switzerland today.

He made his debut at the age of twelve with the Dutch Radio Orchestra. He has since performed in numerous renowned venues in over 20 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Central and South America, including Tonhalle Zürich, KKL Lucerne, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, St. Martin in the Fields London, Salle Olivier Messiaen Paris, Bertramka Prague, Marble Hall Budapest, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall and many more. He also makes regular guest appearances at leading international music festivals. Among the highlights of his artistic career have been concerts with top-ranking conductors, including Pierre Boulez, Ralf Weikert and Howard Griffiths. His interest in contemporary music has led to collaborations with leading composers, such as Emmanuel Nunes, Marco Stroppa, James Dillon and Rudolf Kelterborn.

See Siang Wong's performances have been recorded by many radio and television stations. He has already made three exclusive solo albums for DECCA. His first CD featuring music from Chopin (“Waltzes and Nocturnes”) was released in 2005 and was honored with a “Classic Highlight” award in the Swiss Radio Magazine. His second CD with piano pieces from Claude Debussy, entitled “Early Piano Works”, was released in 2006 and also received high praise from the specialist press. In 2008 he recorded his latest album, dedicated to the Piano Sonatas of Mozart. Other recordings were issued by Deutsche Grammophon, Guild, Novalis, ZHDK Records, Liverpool Records and Rose.

See Siang Wong has taught since 2002 at the Zurich University of the Arts. He holds Masterclasses within Switzerland and abroad, and is among the exclusive circle of Steinway & Sons Artists.
