Parsifal is the one who travels in search of a quality that cannot be found along the well-known streets. Parsifal travels in search of what the others have already forgotten… …True passion for the search of the quality and the interest for rediscovery of works and composers unjustly forgotten, such as Xaver and Philip Scharwenka, Clara Wieck, Fanny Mendelssohn, are the things that unite the members of the Nuovo Trio Parsifal, Barbara Castelli, violin, Laura Pierazzuoli, violoncello and Anna Paola Milea, piano. Since its foundation in 2001 this Trio regularly performs in Italy and abroad, receiving everywhere unanimous approvals of audiences as well as critics. In 2003 they performed in Bucharest at the Italian Cultural Institute. The same year they went on tour to Peru and Colombia upon the invitation of the Italian Cultural Institutes of Lima and Bogotá. During this tour the trio performed in famous venues such as the Teatro Antonio Raimondi in Lima, Teatro Colon in Bogotá, Teatro Fundadores in Manizales. On this occasion the members of the trio also gave a master class at the Escuela Superior de Musica Luis Duncker Lavalle in Arequipa (Peru). The Italian Cultural Institutes of Montevideo and Jakarta have invited the trio for two tours in Uruguay and Indonesia in 2004. The repertoire of the Nuovo Trio Parsifal ranges from classical period to the music of the 1900s including the Italian contemporary music. Barbara Castelli, violinist, born in Milan, she has studied in Cernusco sul Naviglio under master Lucina Invernizzi. She graduated in 1985, then she specialized under master Gigino Maestri and master Ruggero Ricci. She was awarded at important national and international competitions such as “Cittŕ di Sesto San Giovanni” and “Cittŕ di Stresa”. She has taught in several music schools such as “Guido d’Arezzo” in Melzo and Cernusco sul Naviglio music school. From 1987 to 1990 she has played in the Orchestra of the Theatre “Carlo Felice” in Genoa, and since 1990 she has been part of the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia National Academy in Rome. Laura Pierazzuoli has graduated in cello with full marks at Conservatory “Santa Cecilia” in Rome, under Master Giorgio Ravenna and in chamber music under master Marco Lenzi. She has attended specialization courses under masters A. Navarra and L. Signorini. She has been part of several chamber and orchestral ensembles such as the Gonfalone Orchestra in Rome and the Orchestra of the Conservatory “Santa Cecilia”, with which she has performed in Italy and abroad. At present she is part of the International Chamber Ensemble, with which she has performed in Italy and in United States, and of the AMODIR , with which she has recorded soundtracks and with which she as executed (as soloist, too) several concerts broadcasted internationally by RaiUno and Vatican TV. Since 1997 she has performed in Trio, after specializing under masters R. Filippini, M. Sirbu and B. Canino (Trio di Milano), under masters K. Bogino and A. Liebermann (Trio Tchaikovsky), and under masters D. De Rosa and R. Zanettovich (Trio di Trieste). Since 1998 she has collaborated with the director R. Cappuccio performing at Rome Theatre and other Italian theatres. She has tooken part in several Italian television shows. Since 2000 she has also collaborated with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia National Academy in Rome. Anna Paola Milea, pianist, born in Reggio Calabria in 1965, she graduated at the Conservatory “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria under the guide of master Sonja Pahor. She was awarded in several national and international musical competitions, both as soloist and in chamber ensembles: Capri 1989 (2nd prize), Venetico (Messina) 1990 and 1993 (3rd prize) Reggio Philharmonic Academy 1991 (2nd prize), Boscoreale (Naples) 1992 and 1993 (1st prize), Pompei (Naples) 1993 (3rd prize), Villar Perosa 1996 (2nd prize), Campagna (Salerno) 1996 (3rd prize), Barcellona 1996 (2nd prize). She has attended specializations courses held by Bruno and Franco Mezzena in Riva del Garda, by Carlo Bruno in Porto Torres, by Sonja Pahor in Scala Torregrotta and in Ilirska Bistrica (Slovenia), and by Donella D’Alessio in Sabaudia. Moreover she has attended the three-year high specialisation course held by the Trio Mezzena - Bonucci at Pescara Musical Academy. She performes in various chamber ensembles by important musical associations and has been part of several orchestras as pianist, harpsycord player and organ player: “Eine Kleine Orchestra”, “Rhegium Consort”, Orchestra of the Theatre of Roccella Jonica, New Young Chamber Orchestra in Messina. She has filled the task of collaborating master at the laboratory of Lyric Theatre of the Communal Theatre in Roccella Jonica. She is part of the Sinthorchestra of Rome. In 2003 she was invited by the Association Dante Alighieri from Moscow to play two concerts in the Russian capital, in duo with the clarinetist Giampietro Giumento. The concerts were held in the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the foundation in Saint Petersburg. She is the president of the Association Chorus Line Club and is on the piano faculty at the Accademia Italiana Musica e Arte in Rome.
