BACKGROUND: Nicola Edwards was born in 1971 in Nottingham. She took a BA in Music at Reading University, an MMus in Musical Composition at King's College London, a PGCE in Secondary Teaching at Cambridge University, and has recently completed the MA in Composing for Film, TV and Theatre at Bristol University.

CLASSICAL COMPOSITIONS: Nicola's MMus compositions included 'Cosmic Death' for Soprano and 17 solo strings, which she sang with the Chamber Orchestra of Cambridge; a piano trio, and a sonata for clarinet and piano. 'Be My Love', a choral piece, was performed at a wedding in Cambridge and in a concert by Bristol University Singers. 'In Defence of Poetry' was runner up in a competition for a new piece for Sidney Sussex College Choir, Cambridge. Nicola has also had several chamber pieces performed, including at Dartington Summer School.

FILM, TV & THEATRE: At Bristol Nicola composed original scores for 2 short films. 'The Violin' was subsequently shown at the Watershed centre in Bristol. She sang and conducted for live recording sessions of her music to picture. She wrote theatre music and also studied orchestration, arranging and analysis.

Nicola's recent solos have been in: Dvorak Mass in D (in Notre Dame), Poulenc Mass in G (CD recording), Tippett Spirituals, 'Ozymandias' by John Pickard.

FILM SESSIONS, POP VOCALIST, THEATRE SINGER... Nicola has recorded vocal tracks in popular and classical styles for films and theatre. She is available for recording work in the South of England.

Violetta Egorova belongs to the generation of the young talented pianists. She is the winner of many international competitions: G. Viotti in Vercelly, Italy; Gina Bachayer in Salt Lake City, Utah, the USA; Alessandro Casagrande in Terni, Italy. Hans Eijsackers was born on 15-2-1967 in The Hague. When he was 13 years old he won the first Rotterdamse Piano-Driedaagse and the Edith Stein Contest , nowadays called the Princess Christina Contest. He was the WINNER of the European Piano Contest in 1991. This contest lasted three weeks and took place in France and Germany with the Finale in Luxembourg. He played The Third Piano Concerto of S. Prokovief as his required work, and as his free choice he played The Second Piano Concerto of S. Rachmaninov with the R.T.L. Symphonie Orchestra under the direction of Jaques Mercier.

He also won the Special Prize as the best Singer accompanist. His Professors were: Koos Bons, Gerard van Blerk, Jan Wijn and György Sebök. (with him he also gave concerts during the musicfestival at the Swiss "Musikdorf" ERNEN. In 1992 Hans received his certificate Executive Musician, CUM LAUDE , at the Sweelinck Conservatory of Music in Amsterdam. In 1994 he was invited for a special Study at the Mozart Academy in Krakow. Then he did recitals in Poland, Budapest, Cornwall and New York City. Besides his work as a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague he performed as Soloist, chamber musician and accompanied other musicians. He did concert tours in Italy, Russia and the Far East (Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan) etc. In 1993, as well as 1994 he received the ZILVEREN VRIENDENKRANS from the Royal Concert Hall with the baritone Geert Smits and the flutist Liesbeth Niesten.

At the same time he formed a steady duo with the mezzo-soprano Xenia Meijer. In 1998 he went on tour with Xenia Meijer and the baritone/saxophone player Hubert Claessens and played in the greatest European Concert Halls in a series called "RISING STARS". For this occasion he wrote the composition " EL BESO " for voice, saxophone and piano. The words were written by Julio Cortázar . At the World-Premiere on December 7, 1997 in Paris and the following concerts in Athens, Helsinki, Birmingham, Koln, Frankfurt and in Vienna, the Wiener Musikverein , the work received very positive reviews. Pianist of the HEXAGON ENSEMBLE He also works with: Eglio Battaglia, D.Fischer Dieskau, Placido Domingo, Robert Holl and Rudolf Jansen. Last season he played the piano concertos of F.LISZT, L.v.BEETHOVEN, W.A.MOZART, R.SCHUMANN and M.RAVEL. ELANARA is a duo formed to explore the large and largely unexplored repertoire for this combination - the soprano ELIZABETH NASH and the classical guitarist ROSE ANRESIER.

Elizabeth sings most roles in Oratorio, Opera (with the ENO), and has a wide repertoire extending from Strauss's Four Last Songs to Leider.

Rose has an international reputation, having performed and broadcast in N.America and in most European countries. She has given over 50 first performances and made several solo discs.

The duo have begun to record their repertoire with Meridian Records. Their repertoire is now large enough for them to give whole recitals in English, German, French and Spanish. They are both prepared to travel anywhere and can perform at short notice in almost any venue since they do not need a piano. Their fee is negotiable - depending on the venue, time of day, length of programme, whether part of a tour and whether expenses are to be included.

Formerly Principal Bassoon with both the Winnipeg Symphony and the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, Vincent has distinquished himself as a soloist for many years. He is now working independently as a Chamber Nusician and soloist exploring both old and new music for bassoon. He has appeared as an invited performer for the Dutch Double Reed Society at their Rotterdam Conference in 1995, as well he has presented numerous first performances and recordings of new works of music for both solo and orchestral music.

I'd be delighted to get involved in a broad spectrum of musical activities in London, but will travel if expenses are paid.

I studied the bassoon at postgraduate level in Frankfurt am Main, Germany under the tutorship of Matthew Wilkie (Chamber Orchestra of Europe). I currently play with two of the top London mainly amateur orchestras, the Forest Philharmonic and Kensington Chamber Orchestra.

I spent two years singing as a tenor layclerk at St Mary's Cathedral, Edinburgh.

Dr. Kim S. Ellis is a native of Rockford, Illinois. She has taught the clarinet and saxophone studios at Lamar University and has been principal clarinetist with the Symphony of Southeast Texas since 1990. In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Ellis is an Artist/Clinician for Boosey and Hawkes (Buffet Crampon Clarinets) and Rico International, Inc. (Grand Concert Reeds)

She has also appeared with the C.D. Duo, Woodlands Symphony, Opera Columbus, Columbus Light Opera, Coventry Trio, and Keith Brion's New Sousa Band. She is member of various Lamar University Faculty Chamber Ensembles. Throughout the school year, she performs at public schools for Young Audiences, Inc., Lamar University and Boosey and Hawkes for Buffet Clarinets.

Dr. Ellis is an active performer and clinician at conventions and clinics throughout the United States including: Texas Music Educators Association, International Clarinet Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, Festival of Texas Composers, Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium, College Music Society-South Chapter, Sarasota Music Festival, and the University of New Hampshire Chamber Music Festival.

While at the University, Dr. Ellis has received honors including the Lamar University Teaching Merit and Outstanding Teacher Awards. She has premiered works by Dr. Frank Felice and Dr. Joe Alexander.

Nottingham born Stuart is a Royal Academy of Music graduate, having studied with Angela Malsbury of the London Mozart Players, Nicholas Rodwell of The Royal Opera House Covent Garden Orchestra and Richard Addison of The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. During his studies Stuart won several competitions, including the John Solomon prize for solo recital and gained a commendation of excellence in the Hawkes prize for clarinet. He was also given the chance to play for and learn from the best of international clarinet talent including masterclasses with Michael Collins, Gervase de Peyer, James Campbell, Andrew Marriner and Karl Leister.

Stuart is currently pursuing his freelance career and has performed in many parts of the country as well as overseas in orchestras, as part of chamber music ensembles and as a solo recitalist. He has also played for the touring production of Cameron Makintosh's Oliver! which took him around the United Kingdom and went on to Canada.

His interests in the clarinet world are not only confined to classical music - his involvement in Jazz and Klezmer clarinet have led him to performances, amongst others, at The Jazz Café, The Kentish Town Forum and Bar Rhumba- three distinguished venues in London, along with several recordings and albums.

Now in its third decade the Endellion String Quartet has become renowned as one of the finest quartets in the world, with a repertoire of over 250 pieces ranging from Purcell to Thomas Ades. Their concerts are regularly sold out, everywhere "setting the audience ablaze" (Daily Telegraph) and they "play to each other with a sense almost of discovery, communicating to the audience on a level of unusual intimacy" (The Guardian). Their schedule includes regular tours of North and South America and concerts in Australasia, the Far East and every West European country.
