| For over a decade, the LGEM Ensembles have treated South Florida audiences to delightful interpretations of the pop music of the Americas - specializing in the music of the Andes, Peru, and Brazil. Due to the diversity of personnel and repertoire, the LGEM Quintet was selected by the Summit of the Americas to perform for the gala White House reception for the Heads of State of the Western Hemisphere, and their entourages, which was held at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.
The LGEM Trio has turned its attention to the beautiful and historic choro music of Brazil. Canadian-born flutist Robert David Billington with a Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree in flute performance, Peruvian-born virtuoso guitarist Roger Bustamante, and Colombian-born MIDI percussionist Edwin Guerra perform a sysnthesis of different styles - Brazilian, classical, Hispanic, and jazz - to imbue the venerable chorinho with a new vitality and depth of emotion.
Noted for performing innovative programs of music in several different styles - New Age Andean, Peruvian, Brazilian, and classical/jazz fusion - the LGEM Ensembles have performed as featured entertainers at numerous South Florida festivals, and have presented concerts at numerous venues throughout the South Florida area. These venues have included the Hibel Museum Promenade Concert Series, the Beaux Arts Festival, the Baptist Hospital Artist Showcase, the Art Deco Festival, Concerts at The Falls, the South Miami Art Festival, the Fairchild Tropical Garden Concert Series, the Fairchild Tropical Garden Ramble, Concerts at La Cucina Toscana, the Coral Gables International Festival of Craft Arts, Barnes Park (Metro-Dade Summer Showcase Series), the Miami Beach Festival of the Arts, the 609 Concert Series, the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Festival of the Arts, the NCNB Noontime Concert Series, the First Church of North Miami Concert Series, and Church of San Pedro Concert Series.

| Born in Athens 1948. First involvement with music was in the early '60s when he took guitar lessons, taught himself to play the piano and worked with rock bands. He enrolled in the Hellenic Conservatory and got his first degree in 1971. At the same time he studied privately with the celebrated compo-ser and teacher John A. Papaioannou. He also took piano lessons from Chara Tombra, studied Byzantine and Greek folk music with the musicologist M. F. Dragoumis, worked at the Greek Electronic Music Workshop (ÅÑÃ.Ç.Ì.) and presented some electronic pieces for tape. In 1972 he wrote the music and songs for the first production of "The Civil Servant", a 19th century Greek political satire. More theatre work from this period includes Shakespeare's "King John" and "The Basil Plant", another 19th century Greek play. In 1974 he became a member of the Greek Society for Contemporary Music. In 1975-76, he worked briefly in journalism publishing articles, interviews and reviews. During this time he covered the story of Iannis Xenakis' return to Greece, after his long exile abroad, taking a number of long interviews from the composer. At the end of 1976, he moved to London and enrolled in the Post-Graduate Composition Course of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Teachers: Patrick Stanford, Buxton Orr & Alfred Newmann). While in the UK, he worked at the Electroacoustic Music Workshop of Morley College, became a member of the Society for the Promotion of New Music and took part in seminars with Witold Lutoslawski and Hans-Werner Henze at the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies. Since 1999 he is member of the Greek Composers Forum (K.E.SY.)
He has written music for orchestra, ensembles of various types, piano, guitar and for solo instruments such as the various types of flutes, saxophones and the clarinet. His writing for the voice includes a staged cantata, songs and song-cycles with piano or chamber ensembles, songs for a capella choir and music-theatre. He has produced electro-acoustic music, written and produced theatre and film music, children's theatre and a High-School musical based on an adaptation of Aristophanes' "Lysistrata". Finally, he has transcribed and arranged song of other Greek songwriters and composers. He has received commissions from the British Council of Greece, the Union of Greek Com-posers, the Greek Radio, many Greek festivals (including the Paxos Festival) and various UK and Greek artists. | A native of Milan, countertenor Emiliano Loconsolo is considered one of the most distinguished and captivating vocalist to emerge from the contemporary Italian scene. Mr. Loconsolo takes a refreshing step away from today’s commercial jazz market by defining his vocality through a diverse and fascinating repertoire which draws stunning parallels between American contemporary and early Italian Songbooks.
Trained in both jazz and classical music, Mr. Loconsolo possesses a clear tone and a natural vocal range rarely experienced in Contemporary Music, and has cultivated a technique capable of smoothly blending together tenor and countertenor registers which tackles everything from Billy Strayhorn to Baroque arias, contemporary art songs and back to the 16th century Italian vilanella, surpringly rich with heart and humor.
Mr. Loconsolo is one of the very few performers today interpreting the poignant work of legendary Neapolitan singer Roberto Murolo, almost unknown in the U.S. In 2005 he collaborated with avant-garde jazz icon Irene Aebi on rarely heard and never before performed vocal compositions by her husband, soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy, and was a member of the American premiere of Futurities, a groundbreaking song cycle created by Mr. Lacy and renowned American poet Robert Creeley.
Emiliano has worked with some of the best jazz artists in Europe such as Stefano “Cocco” Cantini, Stefano Bollani, Paolino Dalla Porta, and Massimo Manzi. He has performed at the famous Capolinea club in Milan, the Lucca Jazz Festival in Tuscany, Break in Jazz in Milan, and the prestigious Umbria Jazz Winter Festival in Orvieto. Mr. Loconsolo was a semi-finalist for the Italian National Award Premio Massimo Urbani in 2001 and recently a finalist in the first International Young Jazz Singers Competition in Brussels. In 2005 he was invited to perform at the Bali International Jazz Festival, and was the subject of two radio specials broadcasted on Radio Palermo in Buenos Aires and on Punto Radio Cascina from Pisa. His performances have been heard on ABC Radio in Australia and public radio in Russia. Emiliano Loconsolo has performed in Boston at Scullers, the Harvard Faculty Club, the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Jordan Hall, and the Berklee Performance Center. He is a co-founder of Newpoli, a Bostonbased Italian folk group. In Italy, Mr. Loconsolo was the founder of Cantinajazz, a very popular program for three years in Tuscany which explored the artistic relationship between jazz and wine through fascinating narration and live jazz classics. Mr. Loconsolo emigrated to the United States in 2002 upon receiving Berklee College of Music’s international best talent scholarship, and subsequently received a merit grant to attend New England Conservatory from where he holds a BA in Jazz Performance. His teachers include Roberta Gambarini, Mark Murphy, John Lockwood, Kevin Mahogany, Cecil McBee, Ran Blake, Dave Holland, Sheila Jordan, and Rachel Gould. He currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island.

In April 2016 the choir launched five15 -a pioneering new initiative over the next five years to promote women composers - appointing Cheryl Frances-Hoad as launch composer-in-residence.
