| | Samantha and Chris McCartney met at the Trinity College of Music London junior department in 1992, where they both had the same violin teacher (Aidan Massey). They started playing violin and viola duets together back then.
When Sam finished the Junior Department, they went their separate ways, Sam went on to the Trinity College of Music Senior department where she studied for four years and obtained a Bachelor of Music degree (BMUS TCM HONS) and Chris stayed on at Lewes Tertiary College, studying music.
During their time apart, they both played with many different organisations and artists, to name a few:- Sam played with the Hertfordshire Chamber orchestra, a jazz group who performed in the '12 Bar Club' (Tin Pan Alley, London) and she also played weddings and functions with a fellow student at college. Meanwhile Chris concentrated his efforts on a Folk Group which he himself helped to create, although he was still playing in orchestras and smaller ensembles at the same time. His band became popular in some South London scenes, and they played various venues in the area.
However in 1998 Sam and Chris met up again and got back together, and later got engaged and eventually married in June 2000. They resumed playing their duets and are now currently performing at weddings, dinners, parties, and various other functions.

| | Classical guitarist and composer Susan McDonald was born in Texas in 1965. A protege of Pepe Romero, she has released five CDs and given concerts all over the world. She has been described as "...the first woman to follow in the footsteps of Segovia." (Weinheimer Nachrichten)
As a soloist, Susan has performed for Presidents Bush (father and son), debuted at Carnegie Hall, and recently premiered Todd Frazier's guitar concerto, "Brazos de Dios," which was commissioned for her by Houston's Society for Performing Arts and premiered at Wortham Center.
As a composer, Susan McDonald has recently comleted "The Phases of Eve," a thirteen-movement work for solo guitar. She is currently working on "Children of the Sun," an oratorio based on the adventures of explorer Cabeza de Vaca. She is the daughter of composer and harpsichordist Myron McDonald (1936-2002).

| | Blair McMillen is establishing himself as one of the most verstatile and sought-after pianists today. He has received critical acclaim for his performances throuhgout the United States and abroad; the New York Times has called his playing "lustrous" and "very keenly performed." He has made concerto appearances in Alice Tully Hall, was soloist on a tour of Japan with the Juilliard Orchestra, and has performed for President Bill Clinton. His performances have also been featured on CBS - Sunday Morning, NPR, WNYC, and WQXR. A dedicated chamber musician, Mr. McMillen has performed at the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society, with tenor Anthony Dean Griffey, with members of the American, Brentano, and Flux String Quartets, and with the New York Woodwind Quintet.
Dedicated to new and groundbreaking projects, Blair McMillen is committed to the performance of music of today. As a founding member of the creative-arts ensemble Non Sequitur, he has premiered over 100 chamber and instrumental pieces, and frequently involves himself in multimedia, funk, free improv, theater and mutimedia projects. A self-taught jazz pianist, Mr. McMillen has managed to "cross-over" musical styles successfully, not the least of which is in his solo concerts, where he frequently programs Zorn and Zappa next to Haydn and Hummel next to Cage and Cowell.
Blair McMillen holds degrees from Oberlin College and the Juilliard School, where he studied with Jerome Lowenthal. Other teachers have included Byron Janis, Robert McDonald, and Joseph Kalichstein. His solo CD "Soundings," featuring the music of Liszt, Copland, Debussy, and Scriabin, was released in February, 2000.

| | Lisa Mears is a professional musician based in Swansea, Wales. As a composer, Lisa's music has been performed and broadcast around the UK. In 2004 some of Lisa's works were Highly Commended by SPNM and in 2006 one of Lisa's compositions was the winning entry in the BSO Kokoro Ensemble Composition Competition. In 2012 Lisa was a shortlisted composer in the Cornwall International Festival of Male Voice Choirs Composition Competition and a finalist in the Small Choirs Composing Competition, London. | | Yuri Medianik’s creative development began at the age of four, when he made his debut on the stage as a singer. His first acquaintance with the musical instrument happened when he was just 2 years old. Developing son’s musical potentialities, Yuri’s father gave him a small bayan and showed him two notes. Since then Yuri is always with this instrument. When Yuri was 8 years old, the violin appeared in his life. The peculiar, vivid sound of this instrument fascinated him at once and he could not imagine his life without it. Yuri began to perform on tour at a very early age. At first it was concerts in the towns of the Ukraine, then, after his winning in the competition «The Young Musician» in Bulgaria, the geography of his tours increased due to the European countries. His concerts were distinguished with the originality of their construction: Yuri played two instruments in one and the same concert. The successful tour to Germany in 1993 was followed by record of Mozart’s Concert for the violin with the orchestra ¹ 4 with the youthful chamber orchestra of town Bochum. (The record of Mozart’s Concert for the violin with the orchestra ¹ 4 with the youthful chamber orchestra of town Bochum was a continuation of the successful tour to Germany in 1993.) At the festival in Saint Petersburg Yuri received an invitation to continue his education in the Secondary Special Music School named after Rimsky-Korsakov. In 1994 Yuri with his parents moved to Saint Petersburg. Severe financial position and the dissatisfaction with the quality of his music instruments kept Yuri from continuing his intensive concert activity. So he had to forget about the foreign tours for a while too. But it was not a barrier on his creative development. He played his first solo violin concert in the Museum named after Rimsky-Korsakov on 10 November 1995. An important event took place in Yuri’s life in 1995. He made the acquaintance with the outstanding performer, composer and teacher Vyatcheslav Semionov. This meeting became a start of close creative cooperation and an intimate human friendship. Semionov’s works occupy a considerable place in Yuri’s repertoire. He is happy to be the first performer of two Semionov’s works in Moscow and in Saint Petersburg. They are «A prophetic dream» and «Caprice ¹ 2». In 1997 Yuri took part in two International competitions simultaneously and became a winner there. That year his family moved to Moscow, he entered the Moscow Special music school named after Gnesiny and joined Berkul’s class (violin). In November 1997 he became an exhibitioner of the International fund «New names». This event played an important role in Yuri’s career as a musician. The fund and personally Ivetta Voronova are maintaining him now. Many solo concerts in the best halls of Moscow were arranged by «New names». A marvellous fact in Yuri’s life was a meeting with a splendid man and outstanding teacher, professor of the Moscow State Conservatoire Ara Bogdanyan. This important event happened in 1999. In 2001 Yuri performed at the first international competition in Surgut (Russia). He brightly had first prize. 2002 was an important year in Yuri’s life. He gave solo concerts as bayan-player and violinist in famous places of Moscow : in the Rakhmaninovskiy concert hall and in the National Museum of History. He played also with the ensemble « Skomorokhi » from Saint-Petersburg. In April 2002 Yuri became a soloist of the ensemble « Studio for New Music » and in May 2002 he went with this group on tour in England. In April 2003 he was the guest of the international festival « Vivat, bayan » in Samara (Russia). Yuri Medianik is not only interested by classical or contemporary music, but also by classical argentinian tango. So he is a member of «Piazzolla-Quintet », composed by talented musicians; all of them are winners of international music competitions. The quintet has already recorded in the Great Hall of Moscow conservatory. Yuri Medianik is a complete musician: in June 2003, he had Grand Prix in the international competition named after brothers Demidov for young violinists in Ekaterinburg (Russia). Now Yuri is carrying an active concert work. His playing was listened in Germany, USA, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Spain, Armenia, Bulgaria, and England. Along with solo concerts, he gladly plays concerts both as a violinist and a bayan-player.

| | A brilliant born artiste TABLA virtuoso from Delhi Gharana young & Dynamic Yuva Ratna DEEPAK MEHTA (28.05.1982) does not belong to a family of musicians. Initially trained under his own God Gifted Talent spotted by his class teacher at the age of six. Since then his natural music birth started from percussion instrument “BONGO” followed by “CONGO” which in due course of time and that’s too without learning from anybody played in All India Radio, Doordarshan and accompanied with the music groups of Bhappi Lahari, Narinder Chanchal, Prem Bhatia & Party and many more and started earning fame and laurels by coverages in print and electronic medias including his story at the age of 12 was covered and telecast at that time by the famous TV serial “SURABHI” Episode No.127 in 1994. Finally shifted to the more demanding discipline of Hindustani Classical Instrumental music “TABLA” on the landmark advice of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Sarod Legend on 28.03.1991. Being the disciple of World renowned Gurus Late Ustad Chhamma Khan of Delhi Gharana followed by his son Padamshree Late Ustad Shafaat Ahmed Khan become the powerhouse performer of TABLA. His electrifying performance always captivate audience whether in the United State of America other countries or Motherland INDIA. His gurus were essentially a maestro of the Delhi gharana of tabla-rhythm. But their repertoire was very rich, comprising typical compositions of almost every major gharana. That is why Deepak is also very well equipped with the different idioms of Hindustani rhythm, though his emphasis continues be to on all the Sylabbles of Delhi gharana. Deepak is also the spiritual disciple of H.D.H. Param Pujya Sant Shri Asaram Bapuji Maharaj of Ahmedabad. Outstanding features of Deepak’s own natural & innovative style of compact solo tabla playing with commendable awareness of rhythm as he does not play on the tabla, he lives it which keeps the audience spellbound. He is on the empanelment of ICCR and remained 8 years Scholarship holder of Tabla from CCRT (Govt. of India). He has performed at Govt. Of India National as well as state level namely., the “HORIZON” series of ICCR, “JHANKAR FESTIVAL” & 12TH “ YUVA MAHOTSAV” of Sahitya Kala Parishad , “SANGEET PRATIBHA” of Sangeet Natak Akademi etc., and judged the state level instrumental competitions organized by Nehru Bal Samiti. He has accompanied with instrumentalists and vocalists of repute and also accompanied the graded artistes of All India Radio. However, he prefers to present “Solo Tabla Recital”. | | In 2001 Gabriel Malancioiu began the study of composition under the direction of Remus Georgescu, and in 2005 he began to attend the MA in composition within “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy of Cluj, under the direction of Cornel Taranu, PhD, member of the Romanian Academy. Since 2007 he has been studying for his PhD degree in composition under the direction of Prof. Adrian Pop, PhD within “Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy.

| | Maria Emma Meligopoulou, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied piano and Music Theory at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki. She holds a master in Choral Conducting from Boston University (class of Ann Howard Jones and David Hoose)and currently she's doctoral candidate at the Ionian University Shool of Music.
In 1992 she founded the Ss. Cyril & Methodios Female and Children choruses with which she has won a number of national and International distinctions in competitions such as the Choir Olympics and the Intercultur Festivals. | | The period instrument ensemble Melopoetica was formed in 2003 – Barbara Barros and Siv Thomassen, baroque violins; Iason Ioannou, baroque cello and Erik Dippenaar, harpsichord. Their goals include the deliverance of exciting performances of repertoire from the late sixteenth century to the classical works of Mozart and Haydn, which move and affect the audiences. Melopoetica is an international and diverse ensemble, which helps to bring an extraordinary input to their musical interpretation. Individually, and as an ensemble, the members have performed in many major venues in London and throughout Europe. Melopoetica has been invited to play in renowned festivals and venues in England, Sweden, Portugal, Greece, South Africa and Mozambique. Melopoetica obtained the “English Concert Junior Fellow” title at Trinity College of Music, London, in 2006.

| | In 1997, a group of talented young musicians formed a chamber music group under the tutelage of renowned artists Earl Carlyss and Ann Schein. They named the group after the Nineteenth Century composer whose versatility they greatly admired, and the Mendelssohn Piano Trio was born.
Since then, the trio has developed a loyal audience, performing with that rare combination of powerful individual talent and tight-knit collaboration that is the hallmark of a truly exceptional chamber music ensemble. The Mendelssohn Piano Trio's extensive repertoire embraces works from all periods of the genre's history. Ensemble members are superb soloists in their own right, having enjoyed diversified musical careers that transcend international boundaries. Pianist, Ya-Ting Chang is from Taiwan; violinist, Peter Sirotin is from Russia; and cellist, Fiona Thompson is from England. Together, they are performing with a distinctive intellectual drive and deep poetic richness and finesse, bringing chamber music to life for audiences in the United States and around the world.
Currently Ensemble-in-Residence for Washington DC's Embassy Concert Series, the Mendelssohn Piano Trio is rapidly emerging as one of the most exciting young ensembles on the national and international music scene. In the United States, the ensemble has performed and gave masterclasses in a variety of concert venues nationwide, including universities, colleges, art academies, and music festivals, as well as an international radio feature of Voice of America.
The highlight of the Trio’s recent tour in Taiwan was a performance at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, which was broadcasted on Taiwanese public television channel. This season they have presented the complete Beethoven trios in Portugal and Washington DC to critical acclaim. They have also released their first CD under the Centaur label with music by Sergei Taneyev. In the next two year, the group will record for Centaur two more CDs of complete piano trios by E. Lalo and C. Goldmark.

| | I am a keyboard player from Brazil, have 17 years old. I have some compositions based on improvisations (the most sound like Symphonic Heavy Metal, but there are ballads and many styles also) and I would like to show it to people around the world.
I also play in a band with the not-fixed name Som Livre (Free Sound), that playes progressive rock. the band hasme at the keyboards, Djalma at acoustic guitars/el. guitars/vocals and Ivan at Drums/Percussion. We are in the start, but got 3 complete musics. One of them is Divino Cavaleiro (Divine Knight) by Djalma, and arranjed by the group. The duration is 9:30.
Well, that's it. I have been playing for the last 7 years, and passed by the following bands (and some more): Olhos de carla (1998)- Mpb, 2 releases recorded, 5 shows Theogonia (1998) - Heavy Metal Overload (1999) - Heavy Metal Route 69 (1999) - Pop, 2 shows Chacal (2000) - Pop Rock, CD recorded and published Som Livre (2000) - Progressive Rock
