The brilliant piano music of the great Frederic Chopin has never been out of fashion since it first burst onto the international scene in the early 19th century. This music wasn’t intended for the great concert halls of today, but for the intimate setting of Parisian and London Salons of the aristocracy. This was the setting where Chopin felt most at ease and improvised many of his works for the first time.
Audiences can now experience his music across 10 x 1 hour programmes (from memory) in the beautifully authentic salon-setting of London's 1901 Arts Club - with the accompaniment of a pre–performance champagne reception at this intimate and exclusive venue

The Pianist

In 2016 Warren Mailley-Smith became the first British concert pianist to perform the complete solo piano works (233 works) of Frédéric Chopin, from memory in one series, hailed as “an epic achievement” by the British press. He is currently recording the complete works between 2017 & 2023. Warren has performed on many occasions for the British Royal Family and his recordings are featured regularly on Classic FM and BBC Radio.

The West End’s newest chamber music platform, The Piccadilly Chamber Music Series continues in 2022 with five stunning candlelit concerts exploring some of the most romantic chamber music ever written. (Click here for details on all five concerts).
The popular Piccadilly Chamber Music Series is delighted to present five candlelit concerts from January to July 2022 at St James’ Piccadilly, exploring the chamber music of Johannes Brahms alongside music of other great romantic composers who influenced this towering genius, or who were influenced by Brahms himself.

The third concert of the series explores four glorious works featuring the Clarinet. These works contrast Beethoven and Brahms' different treatment of this melodious instrument. The rich timbre of this special combination of instruments is further exploited to great effect in Rota’s Clarinet Trio, whilst the clarinet takes flight with the soprano voice in Schubert’s ravishing Shepherd on the rocks.
The charismatic and esteemed clarinettist, Steve Dummer is joined by stunning international soprano Susan Parkes and the brilliant cellist, Pavlos Carvalho along with concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith.

Set in the heart of London’s West End, The Piccadilly Chamber Music Series provides an exciting new platform for some of the UK’s most outstanding musicians and a new opportunity for audiences to hear some of the world’s greatest chamber music masterpieces performed in an inspiring setting. Each concert showcases some of the UK’s greatest musicians in displays of enormous virtuosity and sublime calmness.
