Aspen Music Festival and School

Founded in 1949, the Aspen Music Festival and School is regarded as one of the top classical music festivals in the United States, noted both for its concert programming and its musical training of mostly young-adult music students. The typical eight-week summer season includes more than 400 classical music events, including concerts by five orchestras, solo and chamber music performances, fully staged opera productions, master classes, lectures, and children's programming, and brings in 100,000 audience members. In the winter, the AMFS presents a small series of recitals and Metropolitan Opera Live in HD screenings.

Soloists: Hannah Spierman, Jonathan Stinson
New York Choral Society
David Hayes, Music Director

Join NYCHORAL music staff and singers as we preview selections from our upcoming seasons. Our conductors will lead us in a short rehearsal and run-through, followed by a reception with refreshments. Come learn about and sing glorious music, meet NYCHORAL, and enjoy refreshments afterward!

NYCHORAL's Music Director, David Hayes will lead us through everyone's favorite movements of the Brahms Requiem, Movements 4-6.

Who should come? All are welcome! Current or past NYCHORAL singers, those interested in joining the chorus, anyone who just loves to sing, or even non-singers intrigued to glance 'behind the curtain' at the rehearsal process!

Suggested donation of US$15 includes air-conditioned venue, piano accompanist, soloists; music scores available to borrow, and refreshments to follow the Sing.
