PhiloSonia’s 2017-18 season - Liaisons

'Liaisons II: Bartók & Kodály' is the second installment of PhiloSonia’s 2017-18 season Liaisons.

The concert looks into two of Hungary’s greatest composers brought together by their passion for their native folk music. Their trips throughout their homeland documenting folk melodies on phonograph cylinders singlehandedly created ethnomusicology and formed each composer’s unique musical language
