| 10.00am St Ann's Church Dawson Street Dublin D02 YV57 Details: Web site £25 standard | £5 students | Come and sing Messiah with Choir of the Earth - Dublin Led by Ben England BEM Choir of the Earth is a global online choir who has welcomed thousands of amateur singers from over 35 countries to our digital choral courses. In 2022/23, for the first time ever, we are taking our choir room on the road with a UK and Ireland tour - come and sing with us a selection of choruses from Messiah by George Frideric Handel! On Thursday 13 April 2023, we will bring our Messiah Tour to St Ann's Church in Dublin and we would warmly welcome friends old and new to join us for a day of singing and fun! Our Dublin event in particular will be a very special one indeed, taking place 281 years to the very day in 1742 when Handel premiered Messiah to the world, less than one mile away in Fishamble Street! To celebrate this special anniversary, Mr Handel himself might even stop by to say guten tag! It's going to be a truly wonderful day and we would love absolutely everybody to join us, whether or not you have ever sung with us, or even sung in a choir! When you sign up, you will receive all the resources you need to learn/revise and practise your part, note-by-note, including online overview sessions for each voice part and full choir the week before the event, where you can meet other attendees in a live chat! On the day of the event our award-winning conductor, Ben England BEM, will lead everyone in workshops to rehearse a selection of choruses, with his characteristic charm, fun and inspirational musical direction.
