David D'Alesio is an italian clarinettist. Born in Livorno in 1966. He is doctored since 1988. Is 1st principal clarinet at Orchestra Sinfonica di Massa Carrara and also plays with other italian orchestras: Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, CittŕLirica Orchestra, Puccini Opera Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Modigliani, San Gimignano International Festival Orchestra.

He plays also chamber music in trio, quartet or quintet. Is clarinet and sax teacher at Istituzione Scuola Comunale di Musica "Clara Schumann" in Collesalvetti, near Livorno.

He is also Orchestra and Band conductor.

Kostas is a very experienced and highly skilled musician. He holds an HND with Distinction in guitar from the Academy of Contemporary Music and has just finished his Degree studies at the same institution.

Alex Allen is widely recognised as an outstanding teacher of clarinet and saxophone. His teaching at the Royal College of Music Junior Department has lead him to get the best from outstanding pupils. Several past pupils have become professional players and he regularly has pupils in the National Youth Orchestra. He has also adjudicated the BBC Young Musician of the Year.

An exciting and diverse virtuoso, Philip Amalong is known for his fiery, passionate interpretations and breathtaking technique. His love of the piano has led him to many adventures in the world of music and brought demand for his talents as both a soloist and collaborator. From his affinity for the music of Brahms to his warm embrace of much contemporary music, Philip Amalong navigates a broad range of styles with conviction and grace. Growing up in the Philadelphia area, he began piano studies at the age of five with his mother and continued until the age of 17 with Marion Paugh. His early recital appearances were in various Philadelphia venues such as the Union League, the Academy of Music, the Hill School, Cabrini College, Curtis Institute, and Drexel University. He was first prize winner of the Drexel Keyboard Award, multiple winner in the Tri-County Concerts Association Competition, and finalist in the Philadelphia Orchestra Youth Competition and Pottstown Orchestra Youth Competition.

As a child Amalong developed his love for chamber music, performing with a piano trio coached by Metta Watts at The New School of Music in Philadelphia. His collaborative career has included recital performances with Terry King, cellist, Mark Gould (Principal Trumpet, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra), William Ver Meulen (Principal Horn, Houston Symphony), Richard Hawley (Principal Clarinet, Cincinnati Symphony), and David Anderson (Principal Bass, Louisiana Symphony.) Amalong has performed with the RAZBIA ensemble under the sponsorship of Chamber Music America, and has also appeared and recorded with the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops, the Fort Wayne Symphony, and the Dayton Philharmonic. He performs in various cities throughout the U.S. has played in Germany, Czech Republic, France and Italy. In 2002 he appeared at the IBLA Festival in Newcastle Upon Tyne, U.K., as part of an international group of performers celebrating that city's cultural renaissance.

Amalong's recordings include world premieres of works by Angelo A. della Picca, David Anderson and Rick Sowash. He has produced numerous recording projects on which he has performed as a soloist or in partnership with other musicians. He is an Eroica Classical Recordings Artist, and his October 2003 solo release entitled Storia has been resoundingly praised in classical music reviews internationally. Another aspect of Amalong's musical career is his work as a composer, both of concert music and of commercial scores for television and film productions. His hundreds of commercial credits include national jingles and underscores for Blockbuster Video, Totes, Chiquita and many others. For television, he has composed or collaborated on underscores and featured songs for many of the daytime dramas including Guiding Light, All My Children, and The Young and the Restless. His music has been heard as background to the Academy Awards, the Golden Globe awards, and many television and film productions worldwide. Recently, Amalong has worked with young independent film directors, scoring films for festivals and independent release. His playing can be heard on the television special "Ohio," produced by Ken Burn's company Florentine Films. He has composed numerous songs and instrumental works for performance, among them a setting of "Ave Maria" as a gift to his wife for their wedding.

Mr. Amalong attended the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music after receiving a Van Cliburn Competition Scholarship; here he studied with Frank Weinstock. Other awards during this time include first prize in the McElroy Competition and the Sarah B. Marvin Scholarship Award, and recently awards at the IBLA Grand Prize International Piano Competition in Sicily and a Fellowship to the Rome Festival in Rome, Italy. He has participated in masterclasses of Gary Graffman, Cecile Ousset, and Samuel Sanders. He received a Master's degree in Collaborative Piano from CCM, studying with the celebrated pianist, Sandra Rivers. His chamber music coaches during this time included Peter Oundjian and Yehuda Hanani. Mr. Amalong has taught at Xavier University and is currently on the faculty at the College of Mount St. Joseph.

Amici Winds was formed in 2002 and is made up of graduates from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. They are a young, innovative and dynamic young ensemble working mainly as a wind quintet, adding and subtracting members to explore lots of different music.

Members of Amici Winds are all educators and freelancers and have worked with many orchestras including the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, RTE Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Scottish Opera.

Amici Winds are musicians on the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now! scheme which promotes bringing live music to those who may not have access to it. They are currently the only wind quintet listed in Scotland, and only one of four in the whole of Britain.

Pianist Mark Anderson, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, has become one of the world's outstanding pianists over the last several years. He has performed in Japan, throughout Europe and Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, and the United States. He is invited regularly to perform as soloist with such orchestras as the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra, the Bournemouth Sinfionetta, the National Symphony (U.S.), the RTE (Radio/Television Ireland) Symphony Orchestra, l'Orchestre Metropolitain of Quebec and numerous orchestras throughout the United States.

Mr. Anderson has appeared at Alice Tully Hall, the Kennedy Center, London's Wigmore Hall and Zurich's Tonhalle and elsewhere throughout Europe and the United States to great critical acclaim. In addition, his performances are often featured on the BBC, the CBC in Canada, and on radio and television in Spain, Italy, Ireland, Japan and the United States. Competition successes include First Prizes at the 1994 William Kapell/University of Maryland International Piano Competition and the 1993 Washington International Piano Competition. Also in 1993, he was awarded Third Prize and the BBC Audience Award at the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition. He has also received top prizes at the Busoni in Italy, the Tokyo and the Dublin competitions.

Mr. Anderson began piano studies at the age of 5 and later had his formative training with Aiko Onishi. After completing his Bachelor of Music degree at San Jose State University, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to continue graduate studies in England. While abroad, he completed degrees at both the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has also studied privately with Trula Whelan in California, Ryszard Bakst in Manchester, and Benjamin Kaplan in London.

Mark Anderson's concert engagements this year include appearances throughout England, the United States and Japan as soloist with various orchestras, in solo recital and with his wife Tamriko Siprashvili as a piano duo. He is often invited to adjudicate local and international competitions and teaches privately in California. Mr. Anderson is affiliated with Astral Artistic Services in Philadelphia, records exclusively with Nimbus Records and has released recordings of works by Liszt, Schumann, Brahms and Dohnanyi which have all have met with tremendous critical acclaim.

Arshak Andriasov was born on February 6th, 1980, in New York City to a musical family, who came to the United States in 1979 from Moscow, Russia (the former Soviet Union). His father, the late Iosif Andriasov, was a world-renowned composer and philosopher of Armenian heritage; his mother, Marta Andriasova (Kudryashova), is a musicologist, Dozent of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, owner of IMMA Publishing.

Arshak began to play the piano at the age of three. At the age of six, he entered the Lucy Moses School of Music, studying with Boris Slutzky. Arshak started to compose at the age of fourteen and studied with his father, Iosif Andriasov; Daniel Thompson (Lucy Moses music school); and Shafer Mahoney (Hunter College). Mr. Andriasov also studied piano, ear training, solefege, harmony, theory, form analysis with his mother, Marta Andriasova (Kudryashova), and Daniel Thompson, as well as piano, orchestration, polyphony, and conducting with his father.

Mr. Andriasov was the Assistant Conductor of the BMCC Downtown Orchestra from 1997 until 1999. He has conducted his father’s compositions with the San Francisco Student Philharmonic. Arshak performs his own music and has recorded all of his piano compositions. In 2002, Mr. Andriasov graduated from Hunter College with a bachelor degree in English Creative Writing and Music Composition. Arshak is the Founder and Owner of the recording label “IMMA Records”. In 2003, Arshak Andriasov wrote his Second Piano Sonata, dedicating the work “To All Those Against U.S. Military Barbarism.” He also composed the “Torch No. 1” for Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, and String Orchestra.

Arshak Andriasov is continuing the Moscow Conservatory Composers tradition, stemming from P.I. Tchaikovsky - S.I. Taneev - N.Y. Miaskovsky - E.K. Golubev - Iosif Andriasov - Arshak Andriasov.
