International choir and orchestra festival in Budapest

Budapest - a city with one of the best locations in the world: No visitor of the Hungarian capital can resist its beauty. The city enchants, impresses, and fascinates at the same time. The Danube divides the city into the hilly Buda and the flat Pest. The most interesting attractions of Budapest are the Fishermen's Bastion, the Mathias Church, the Royal Castle, the Citadel, and the Parliament building. It is here, 'by the beautiful blue Danube', that the Budapest Music Festival takes place.

Now in its eighth edition, the MiraTone Festival and Academy has grown into a distinguished international celebration of chamber music, artistic mentorship and cultural exchange. Held annually in the historic heart of Budapest, MiraTone has welcomed more than 170 talented participants from over 25 countries during its first seven years.

MiraTone offers an inspiring environment where young musicians refine their artistry, collaborate with peers from around the world, and gain valuable performance experience under the guidance of an internationally renowned faculty.

Participants benefit from high-level instruction through individual lessons, chamber music coaching, and orchestral workshops led by distinguished international faculty members.

Through the MiraTone Young Artists Series, participants perform at inspiring venues across Budapest, gaining valuable stage experience in both solo and chamber music settings.

Participants may choose from course packages that include between three and five master classes, with additional opportunities such as chamber music coaching, audition preparation workshops, and collaborative projects to tailor the experience to their individual artistic goals.

The MiraTone Festival and Academy is a distinguished annual celebration of classical music, held each August in Budapest – one of Europe’s cultural capitals. Since its founding in 2019 by acclaimed violinist Miranda Liu, the festival has rapidly grown into a beacon of artistic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration, earning international recognition for its forward-thinking programming and commitment to nurturing the next generation of musical talent.
