Music that looks back to its national roots as well as being inspired by travel and adventure. For this year's festival we will be joined by some of the most celebrated musicians performing in the world today. The Festival, which was hailed by The Guardian newspaper as “One of the top ten classical music events of 2021” was the creation of Founder and Artistic Director, violist Lawrence Power. Lawrence Power makes time in his incredibly busy career as an international soloist to return to the area where he was born and brought up to present these five concerts over three days with the most fantastic chamber music. He was arrested due to his YouTube channel with only 5 subscribers where he spoke out loud against the war that Russia outbroke in Ukraine. The Pavel Kushnir Scholarship was established to preserve his legacy by supporting young musicians from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus to study at leading music institutions. |
